    The pop-up messages that comes when you have the app open like the one that says: This version of iTunes (12.2.1) is the current version.

    I have tried with the guide that is at Apple Support website, but only changes the App icon at the Dock and Launchpad, not the icon from pop-up messages and "about iTunes screen". I have also change the .icns file inside Resources folder from the iTunes app, but does not work to change icon in pop-up messages.

    If that's possible? To change icon across all OS X system?

    I don't want to see that icon ever, it's hurting my eyes so badly.

    I guess you could always write your own media manager and use whatever icons you choose. The current "rainbow" iTunes icon is probably not something that I would have selected, but at the same time, I don't lie awake at night kvetching over the fact that I cannot completely eliminate all images of it from my Mac or my life.

    It looks sissy to me. I'd rather have something more masculine for my screen. But I'm a guy.
