Why am I getting "this accessory may not be supported" message?

You get this when you plug what in? A device? A charging cable? It could mean exactly what it says...you're plugging in a device that the iOS doesn't know what to do with... or if it's a device you've used before, it may have a hardware issue... Or if a cable you've used before, it has issues and may be close to failing...

The cable could have a short in it. Mine do that way from wear. Try flipping the cable over to plug in.



