Why is the screen dim after I replaced it?

Hi I dropped my iphone 6 and smashed the screen I replaced the screen but now the screen is dim the slide is set to full and the auto dim is off with the brightness set to full it looks like its about half as bright as it should be I put the old smashed screen back in and its the same but im sure before I changed the broken screen the back light was working fine ?

Retrace your steps to see if you missed something or it's possible that the impact from the drop damaged the digitizer or some other significant part.
