Do my iMessages show up on my email account?

When I am using iMessage, sometimes my contact name changes from the name that is associated to my number to an email. Are my iMessages showing up/being received as emails/messages on the email account that is connected to my iMessage account?

No. If you do not want to use your Apple ID for iMessage, go to Settings - Messages - Send & Receive and then uncheck your Apple ID.
