    i just want to use it for wifi and music how do i do that without a simcard

    Just turn on the device, ignore the SIM warnings, connect to your Wi-Fi network via the settings. Having said that, if the devices are protected with the iCloud Activation lock, you will NOT be able to use them without knowing the associated iCloud credentials.
