I will need to recharge my iPhone in France. Do a need converter to connect to 220-volt supply in France, or does my iPhone have a built-in 110/220-volt converter?

You will be good. All you need is an adapter to change plug type.

Correct, look on the inside of your charger, it says "Input 100-240V"

Charging is going to be the easy bit, there is a lot of France where getting a decent signal is the problem !

If you are staying in a hotel you will find that most have adapters for their guests. Just ask.
