Why won't my videos play when I transfer them from my Windows formatted HD to iCloud?

Hello I have 2 hard drives full of photos, but they are formatted for windows! I can move everything over to my macbook iCloud drive, but the videos won't play .... is this because they are still set for windows and will sort themselves out once i return them to a mac formatted hard drive?

Just tried another video and it worked fine... Im going to guess a corrupted file?
