What is a reason for emails not populating in a new Iphone 6 Plus?

I have a new IPhone 6 Plus and the error I am receiving regarding email pushes is the following:

Cannot Get Mail...The connection to the server failed.

Any suggestions?

Bad data or wifi connection, or the email servers are down for your provider. With yahoo, if you have an @ymail address there are a couple extra steps when setting up email for it to connect.

Also, you might want to verify you have the correct ID and password for your e-mail account. I received that error message once because I forgot I had changed my password online.

And if you have deleted the account, then added it back in, and it still does that, try Reset Network Settings.
Reset Network Settings
Settings>General>Reset>Tap Reset Network Settings. You may need to enter your wifi passcode back in afterwards.




