    Even with the locate feature turned off, my 13 year old son still has the option to erase my iPhone via his Find my iPhone app on his iPhone due to the family share. I like the Family share feature and the ask to buy option before it charges my credit card, but how do I remove the feature from my son's iPhone so he can not play sound, or erase my iPhone via his?

    Just my two cents, but if I thought my son would erase my iPhone, he would not have a phone. Nevertheless, maybe this will assist you:

    Change your iCloud passcode and do not let him know what it is. Without the passcode, he cannot login to iCloud or access location information isn't the Find My iPhone app.
