I am currently on iOS 8.0.2, can i update to 8.1 on my 6+ and jailbreak my iPhone? If so, how?

I want some more cydia tweaks but they require 8.1+ im currently on 8.0.2 with jailbreak on my 6+ but would like to update to 8.1 not just for jailbreak but also for stability improvements to the OS. Is there any way i can update to 8.1 then jailbreak?
