the "Clear history" option in Safari on my iPad 5 is grayed out. How can I fix it?

IOS 8.3 working fine until last night and today. For the first time ever, I have some history and the Clear History button is grayed out. I did a reboot, and it's still grayed out. :\ This is history I don't want to travel around the web with, a load of log-in history on credit card sites and the like. Please Help! This is really distressing. :\

I *assume* an option in the Restrictions settings has been enabled. Probably the "Limit Adult Content" option. That will cause the "Clear History and Website Data" option to be disabled.
