Why is my Macbook Pro not charging after replacing the logic board?

I spilt water on my macbook pro and opened it to clean it and found that the port on the logic board where the charger plugs into was damaged. after seeing that i ordered a new logic board with all the same stuff and item number, and put it into the macbook pro, connected everything and the charger light wont light up. the macbook pro is late 2012 or early 2013. the logic board i ordered is late 2012. help
