Will iMessage still work when I have no cellular service?

This might seem like a silly question. But we just wanna be sure. My fianc? and I just found the perfect apartment - but unfortunately neither of our phones get any cellular service inside of the unit. (It's a basement unit, so maybe that's why.) Will we still be able to iMessage each other and our loved ones as long as we're connected to some sort of wifi?

Wifi works without cellular.

As long as the device is at least connected to the internet via Wi-Fi, you will be able to send and receive iMessages.

Just a thought: You might want to ask your carrier if they have any signal-boosting products. Just explain to them about your poor signal quality and see what they can do.
