Why wont Notifications for SkyBell ring my phone?

I have a SkyBell door bell that used to work great. But recently when someone presses the SkyBell doorbell, I get a text in my notifications, but no sound to alert me to the fact that the notification has been received - so I am missing door bell requests since I would have to watch the notification screen all day long to see the new notifications. Other notifications appear and have ring tones.
