How am I sending a text messages by mistake?

I accidentally sent my location as a text. I switched my phone into flight mode before the sending bar finished and turned my imessage off! it still says sending but I want to try and switch my phone off! if oi switch it off will it definitely make sure the message hasn't sent? and if i switch it back on will it still be in flight mode?

It's possible, but don't be surprised if your location was sent or ends up being sent to the recipient of the text message.
