    Having been to Machu Picchu, I would say this is not a good choice. A sturdy water proof Timex is a better choice.

    Well, the primary source of Internet connection is going to be via your phone. So if your phone has no internet, the watch won't either.

    I guess it will hold up as well as any other watch not designed for rugged activity. I'd happily take one to Machu Picchu if I get the chance to go there (it's on my bucket list).
