Why doesn't my phone pic up a signal?

does not pick signal up

I have a perfect service on my phone then when I move to an area with no service I have no signal as expected but then when I move back in to an area with a signal my phone stays as no service. This never used to happen until the last update. My carrier is set to automatic.

Apple - Feedback -- tell Apple about it... Meanwhile, turn airplane mode on for 30 seconds...then turn it off.
