Will a wireless presenter receiver (USB stick) work with the Lightning to USB Camera adapter?

I have been trying to figure out how to use my iPad (4th gen) to give Power Point presentations. I use a Targus wireless presenter remote to change slides with my MacBook Air. I was curious if I bought the Lightning to USB Camera adapter, could I plug the Targus receiver into the USB adapter have it allow the presenter remote to change slides.

It's called a camera adapter because that's all it does... it sees photos on USB storage devices or cameras, and transfers them to the iPad - and that's all that iOS is programmed to do.
