    I was wondering what the activation process of my Golden State Cellular iphone 5 would be because I don't have the sim and i want to use it as an iPod. Oh and do CDMA Iphone 5z require a sim to activate? or are they just for LTE?

    where do small CDMA carriers get there iPhones?
    From Apple...

    on CDMA carriers, the 5S sim is used for LTE... if you desire to use any Apple cellular device without an active cellular provider - simply activate Airplane mode, then turn on wifi... if you've no sim in it - it will say "no sim" after rebooting... but that can be dismissed, and the device will work fine and dandy on wifi only.

    But what if the iphone was reset, wouldn't I need a sim card to get through the activation process?
    and so the sim card for iphone 5 is just for LTE, right?

    but Golden State cellular is not out of the US.. The phone is reset, I ordered it from ebay it will be here soon. But will i be able to get past the activation screen?
