When I type, the words change to other words. How do I stop this?

When I type, the words change to other words.

Pls help. Since I downloaded Yosemite, whenever I type in english or french, some others words appear under the word and I have to cancel it in port (order) to write the right words. you see what I mean. I started to write "order" and the word appeared underneath as port. This is very aggravating and slows me down. pls help.

Experiment with settings under System Preferences>> Keyboard>> Text>>.... correct spelling automatically... and other settings until you find what works best for you.
