    I upload photos from pc to ipad via itunes / sync photos from selected folders etc. It finds some but not all of my photos. Why won't it upload all of them?

    I do not know. Having said that, did you select the "Albums" option on the iPad via the Photos app, and then select to view "All Photos"?
