    Sometimes when talking I will be asked a number and I need to look it up in my contacts.

    When on a call... you don't need to put on hold... simply tap "contacts" on the bottom right of the buttons above the "end call" button.

    Just open the contacts while still in call. No need to put anyone on hold.
