    My ICAL keeps having trouble verifying my gmail account- it says 'the server responded with an error,' and earlier it said 'unable to verify.' This is through my internet account settings. So it isn't syncing anymore Is there a specific update I need? Or do I need to upgrade from OSX 10.8.5?

    Do you have two factor auth turned on for your Google account? If so you need to generate an app-specific password from google security settings in a browser.
