The screen will not close on my MacBook Air. The screen is off to the side not filling up the entire screen. I have no x that is on the screen to close it out as it is "hiding" on the side. I have tried restarting, but still comes up with the screen which is the last screen I was on. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Swvacherry

Grab the title bar of the window and move it so that the button to close it is visible.
FYIscreen usually refers to the physical screen of the laptop, i.e., the glass and lcd. Window is used to refer to an application that is open.

Also you can try force quitting the application. Click the apple in the upper left corner and choose force quit. You will see a list of all running apps. Close everything except the Finder and your window should be gone.

You can also "scroll through" the list of open apps by tapping command-tab. To close the selected app, tap command-Q.
