i keep getting the message the user name or password "imap.aol.com is incorrect

what is "imap.aol.com"? I have deleted my accts, then re entered and the message still comes up.. I can log into my accts on my reg. computer, so I know its not the service..I'm on a ipad

I assume it's an AOL issue because, after reading your post, I deleted my AOL throwaway account from my device. When I attempted to re-configure it, I kept getting the incorrect username or passcode for map.aol.com error mentioned above. I'm sure it will clear up later.

I assume the problem has been fixed because I just finished reconfiguring the account on my iPhone. All of my folders and junk mail are all present...
