On my iPhone, why are the iBooks store icons missing?

I have an iPhone 5S and iOS 8.1.2. When I tap iBooks, the iBooks Store icons are not there/missing (My Books, Featured, Search, Top Charts, Purchased). My books and PDFs show up. I can't access iBooks through the App Store icon either. How can I fix this? Thank you.

Try reinstalling the app... delete from your iTunes library - download... re-sync to devices.
