Your iCloud space and device space are totally separate, distinct things...

iCloud: Settings...iCloud...Storage...

Device... Settings...Usage... Storage...

That's the 5 free gb of iCloud storage, not your phone's storage. You can see your phone's storage space availability by going to Settings >General >About
