How do I delete contacts on my iPhone 6?

I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 8.1.3.
I tap contacts to delete, click Actions and only the following options are available:
Email contacts info;
Cancel;

To delete a contact from the native Contacts app, do the following:

1. Tap on the contact you want to delete.
2. Select "Edit" in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. Scroll all the way to the bottom and then select "Delete Contact".
4. Select "Done" in the upper right corner.
