how do you end a call on FaceTime

after you have finished your conversation on with person "A" onFaceTime, how does each party end it? Is it ended when person "A" quits the call, or can person "A" still hear person "B"s ongoing conversation with someone else with whom person "B" is speaking to in the same room as as person "B".
