How do I delete photos from my iPad?

I am not able to delete photos from the iPad.

When I am on the moments page in Photos And select a set of photos the trash can does not come up allowing me to delete them. Any suggestions?

How did they get on the iPad?

If they were synced from a computer using iTunes, then you will need to use iTunes to delete them.
