Why won't my iPhone 4 charge past 1%?

my iphone 4 wont charge past 1% it will charge to 1% and turn on and shut right back off! what do i do i need my phone workin asap plz help!!!!

Unless it's a corrupted setting or iOS installation, you may need to come to grips with the battery being no longer useful and has run its course. Take it to a nearby Apple Store and see if they can replace it or at least confirm that your battery has run its course.

I agree. Most likely the battery life has run its course.
