    When I turn on my MAC desktop, the screen is white with the apple icon and a line underneath as if it is updating, the movement gets stuck then the screen goes black with my cursor showing but will not go any further. My was found to try the fix for the black screen but I do not have another computer to connect the troubled one with. What ore option is there second to a computer repair geek?

    Take it to a nearby Apple Store to have them diagnose the problem for you.
