How do I delete an event on my Calendar that I set up on a device I no longer own?

I want to delete an event on my Calendar that I set up on a device I no longer own.

I set up an event that was ongoing at the time and put it on a share calendar. The IPad I used to create the event was stolen. When I pull up the event on my IPhone or Mac it doesn't give me an option to modify or delete the event. How do I make it go away?

Login to the Calendar service online and delete it or do it from your computer if the calendar is configured with it.
