How to watch FaceTime calls on the big screen with Apple TV, this is very interesting because I am looking at the Samsung curve TV that has a built in camera. My question is would FaceTime use the camera that is on the Samsung TV or a different camera? We FaceTime with our grandkids at least once a week, which is great way to stay connected with them while they are overseas. One of the things that will help me make a choice is how well we could do FaceTime on the TV.

I wouldn't expect it to do so. FaceTime generally only works between Apple devices. It'd be unlikely they'd interface with Samsung as you're hoping.

You're already FaceTiming. Use whatever device you use for that and AirPlay along with the AppleTV and you can broadcast the screen directly to your big screen. Prop the device up in front of the big screen and it'll feel the same as what you're hoping for.
