Hey all. I'm going to be hooking up an external hard drive to my MBP. Any ones that you recommend?? And do I have to do anything special because it's a Mac and not a windows based pc?

Nothing special really. It's depends on how it is formatted out of the box. If it's formatted as NTFS, OS X can only read (without third party drivers) from it not write to it. If you are going to use the external drive in both a Mac and windows machine, format it as FAT since both OS's can read and write to that. If it's going to be Mac only, format it for the Mac. After you attach it for the first time, just open up the Disk Utility app and you can format it from there.
