Why am I unable to install Windows XP using the Bootcamp instructions on my iMac 4.1?

installing windows(xp,7,8<-whatever all ok for me) in bootcamp of imac4,1

after following the bootcamp assistant reboot in windowsxp sp3 and tried with sp2.
it installs then when try to boot from the windows partition tells me that cant find the system.

what can be the problem?
