4K on base model of 2014 mac mini
Greetings,
I have a upgraded Mac mini (2006 core solo upgraded to 2.0 core 2 duo 2gb ram and 500gb hard disk). I am pretty happy with it. I know that it cannot be upgraded to support 4K display. If I sell it and buy the entry level 2014 macmini can I use this model to support 4K for watching 4K videos or 4K still pictures (I am not sure if there are 4K still pictures). Also I would like to know how much faster will this new computer will be to the old computer. Also I would like to know what other benefits will I get from this upgrade. I use Windows 7 for my programming and the Mac for web surfing and entertainment. Both are connected to the same 22" LG display (Mac to HDMI and Windows PC to RGB). I use the monitor remote to switch between entertainment and serious work. It is a very convenient setup except for this itch for a 4K display ....
