My son was downloading the latest iOS update, which we think may have been interupted (connection dropped). It is entirely unresponsive and is only 4 months old. I've tried restarting, resetting, and plugging into a PC laptop to see if it can be recognized through iTunes. I don"t know if it requires a Mac and have not tried the DFU steps yet. Any guidance would be most appreciated! Could we plug it into another iPad? We don't have a Mac. Will doing the DFU automatically jailbreak it... I"d like to keep the factory settings. Needing help with next steps, please.

Thank you for the clarification on DFU mode to factory settings. Do you know what type of computer I can use to plug the Air into? Can it be a PC?
