Right now I am paying insurance on two phones. Got the insurance through my carrier (Sprint)
Would Apple Care "not sure if that's what its called" be a better option?
What kind of insurance, if any, are you using?

Applecare+ is great. However it does not cover theft or loss like most carrier plans. So it depends on your tolerance for risk.

I use AppleCare +. IMO best deal in town but I also live 15 minutes from the Apple Store. $99 for two years with a $79 deductible. Only issue is it doesn't cover lost or stolen.

Another option is square trade. Might want to check that out, then lay out the pros and cons of each one to determine which is best for you.
