What is the best app to use on iPhone to share notes w another iPhone user?

I am an assistant to a vp at a tech company. He would like for me to use a tracking mechanism for action items for his directs. He does not want me to use an excel spreadsheet but rather something he can access easily and quickly on his iPhone. Ideally we would like to share notes. However, iPhone does not seem to support that at the moment. Please let me know if there as an app that exists that would allow me to keep track of action items on my iPhone and have my boss be able to access them from his own iPhone.
