How do I add more memory to my iPhone 4S?

My service provider is AT&T. Should I go to an AT&T or apple store to see if it may be more cost effective to buy a new phone or invest in memory?

I assume you are referring to storage on your phone. If so, you can't add more storage to an iPhone.

You cannot add physical memory (RAM) or physical storage to the iPhone. There are no SD, XD-type slots and there are no memory slots like there are on the typical computer.

The only kind of extra storage space you can buy is iCloud storage. But that's not what you want.
