I,d say 4-5 mornings per week when I get up I can,t open the apple store app or yahoo weather or the weather channel app on my iPhone 5c.
I then have to hold the top button and home button until the apple logo appears then I,m good to go.
This is not the end of the world by any means but when in a hurry, well, you know.
    I,m running 8.1.2. update.
Any ideas? Anyone else having this issue?
    Merry Christmas!

Rather than do a hard reset, try just swiping those apps out of the app switcher. Is it just those apps? And do you mean the Apple Store app or the App Store?
You might try deleting those apps, then reinstall them.

Thanks for reply. I meant to say app store. Could you please explain what you mean by "swiping those apps out of the app switcher"?
Yes, as far as I know it seems to be just those three apps. Thanks again.

The background apps. Double click your home button to see the background apps. With your finger, scroll left or right to find the app you want to swipe out.

Then with your thumb or finger, swipe the app upward to delete it from the background.

I have to do this with my messages app when it freezes up.
