Why don't I have service on my phone?

no service coming up on phone

hi it says no service in top left hand corner but i can still connect to internet
is this a common fault or do i need to take to shop to repair ?
Any ideas welcome

It can do that when you're on wifi...

If you have no service from your cellular service provider, you may need to contact them to troubleshoot why.

Are you connected to wifi when it still allows you to connect to the internet? It could be something with your SIM card or cell carrier
