how to logout in game center in ios8. i dnt wnt to use my mom's account

i have a new apple id and wnted to have my own points and activities in my game center. how can i log her off and have my own

Welcome to iMore! Logging in and out of game center is done in the phones Settings. Go to Settings >Game Center > Tap Apple ID> sign out > sign in with your Apple ID.

When I goto settings- my plan was to logout and sign in with my userID and pswrd.
Unfortunately- when I goto settings-
the screen freezes and the side screen which should have the 'game center' info is just frozen. Suggestions?
