I bought an external hard drive at Fryes. They said just plug it in to a USB port and Mac will sense it and ask if I want to reformat for a Mac. Nothing happens...any idea? There is a blinking light on the devise telling me I plugged it in to the right port. Tag says USB 3.0 compatible with USB 2.0.

I believe going to Disk Utility will allow you to reformat it.
