Why wont my Xbox 360 wired controller work on my Mac?

I downloaded the Tattiebogle software and the new icon shows up in my System Preferences, but when I click on the icon and it opens, my controller isn't recognized. Did I do something wrong, or is it just my controller?

Maybe its the program. Try another program and see if it works since some drivers for these types of things can be outdated.
