Why isn't my iPod five able to reset?

My jail broken ipod five wont work or recet

ok let me start at the beginning i have a jailbroken ipod 5 and one day i dropped it and part of the scene fell off and isn't displaying stuff right so i asked my friend for help he said it happened to him to once and the old down he home and power button down and then it turned off but now it wont turn back on and it doesn't display any image and i have never plugged it in to a computer so when i try to reset it it says respond on ipod or something like that. PLZ PLZ PLZ help

This has never happened to me so I'm not exactly an expert on the subject, but try to take it to a repair shop and see what to think you should do.
