How do I transfer all data on iphone5 to new iphone6

i need to transfer contacts, notes, photos, videos, calendar data, apps to my new iphone6
i share itunes & icloud acc with husband and 18 yr old daughter but we have everything turned off in icloud as we kept receiving each others apps and messages ! so i dont know how to do this, just tried doing backup to icloud for all my current data on iphone5 and it said i dont have enough storage ? bit confused now x

Welcome to iMore! You need separate iCloud accounts. That's why your stuff gets mixed up. Your Wife needs to have her own iCloud account with her own ID. Also you need separate iMessage and FaceTime. Your iTunes ID can be the same. That way you can share the same apps, music and etc. Even the paid items. But you really need separate iCloud accounts. One benefit is you each get your own 5 free gb of iCloud storage. She needs to set up her own iCloud. Then you can transfer your contacts and stuff.
