Is it normal to get a warning that by giving full access to the keyboard the Developer can access everything that you are typing? That seems like a bad idea to give that much access.

It is normal, hence the warning. In order to do things like predictive text, third party keyboards may have to send your keystrokes to a server.

How would you suggest that the developer makes the keyboard app do what keyboard apps do - format and facilitate the entry of text/thoughts without having that much access?
