    I think Apple products sell themselves and don't need gimmicky "trade your iPhone for our (abomination of a ) phone" because of the exceedingly high retention rate due to its stellar quality and ecosystem and because people want something that works. Once they're in, nothing else compares.
    That's my take on it.
